or "You really nailed it, "BEWARE, because the more you bask in these accolades the more you shackle your
potential to become as effective as God wants you to be.
Great speakers don't always make great lectors.
One of my previous pastors once grabbed a local TV celebrity to read at our Christmas Vigil, ten minutes before
Mass. He was a disaster because despite his platform skill, he really did not know what he was reading. The parishioners
were the first to pick it up. Be prepared to read to a Sunday full house or just a few daily mass goers. One does
not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God... Matthew 4:4
